James made his first real estate investment in Hertfordshire, near London, England over two decades ago, which sparked his interest in real estate trading. In 2005 during an extended holiday, he chose to make Squamish his new permanent home and doing so by 2009, working as the Sales Manager for a local Marine business. Since then, he has also enjoyed professional sailing and in 2019, he acquired his Real Estate Trading Services License to better utilize his skills and interests to help others sell and buy real estate in BC - Vancouver to Whistler including Squamish & the Sunshine Coast, with Engel & Volkers.

A skilled and independently licensed yacht Captain, having worked on some of the worlds most luxurious & beautiful yachts; James has sailed in many parts of the world, including UK, Europe, North & Norwegian Seas, Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean and of course, the entire West Coast of BC, from Seattle to Alaska, on both motor and sailing yachts, from 22 to 252 foot in length. James also enjoys Club & offshore racing and cruising as well as skiing, mountain biking, hiking and socializing with friends & family. He is a long term volunteer member of the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol as a Licensed Emergency Medical Responder Paramedic, member (& volunteer) at Squamish and West Vancouver Yacht Clubs, Vancouver Rowing Club, Hollyburn Sailing Club, The Royal Canadian Legion, Royal Yachting Association & proud supporter of The Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue.
