In early 2021 we decided to sell our home in North Vancouver and relocate to the Sunshine Coast. We were concerned about how we would find a new place to live without ending up homeless, during covid and the challenging market conditions. All our worries disappeared after our first meeting with James, our friend from the the West Vancouver Yacht Club. He said he could help us with both Selling and Buying. There were many Realtors vying for the sale of our home. James was the only one really listening to what our needs were and we felt very confident and relieved in choosing James as our Realtor.
James was very professional, organized, and helpful in getting our place ready to sell when the Spring market first started opening up. The same day we listed three other comparable listings also came on the market and I was worried about this. James sold our property in just a few days and got us the best price compared to the others.
While working on selling our home in North Vancouver, James was also busy on-the-ground, looking for our new home in Gibsons. There were very few options on the market so James immediately went door to door to find anyone interested in selling and putting the word out among other local Realtors and community members. We made several trips to the Coast with James and enjoyed looking at every possibility with him. James intuitively knew what we really wanted and needed to be happy. One of the first places James excitedly took us, needed some updating. We initially had trouble seeing past this as it did not show well. James told us it had great potential and value, but we carried on looking. And eventually, succeeded with his help in efficiently buying that property! We knew James was right. It was the right place, the right size, and had everything we wished for and we knew we would love our new home and everything ended comfortably and successfully. We’ve since renovated, made it all ours and love it - especially the local wildlife that stop by our garden.
We never felt pressured to make offers. James was excellent at guiding us through the negotiations. He helped us get the best price. James made it possible for us to move to our new home and lifestyle. We love our new home and are very grateful for James’ expertise, advice & guidance.
